I designed iOS app and hardware interactions for IoT smart grill to complete incubator graduation requirements and enable investor pitches and contract manufacturing estimates. Palate Home was co-founded by Don Norman and Bruce Tognazzini, two foodies and well-known advocates of user-centric UX design.

A home chef can cook a perfect steak with the Palate Home grill with four taps: select protein from the main screen, select the cut, select doneness, and press Start.​

The grill has temperature sensors and determines the optimal cooking process based on starting temperature of the food and thickness. Once cooking is done, the grill can hold food at the final temperature without overcooking.
