Experience

I’ve been a product manager for both an operating system API (Apple QuickDraw GX), as well as end-user shrink-wrap productivity applications (Caere OmniPage Pro 6.0 and NetObjects Fusion).

I’ve written product requirement docs; worked through innumerable bug crawls; calculated P&L; pitched to press, analysts, and trade show attendees; managed advertising, direct mail, and marcom; and actually shipped products.

The skills and processes I’ve learned as a product manager have proven invaluable in my subsequent work, whether I was leading an online product launch, defining a marketing campaign, or wrestling with a difficult human interface problem.
